Hon Khoi is located in Ninh Hoa Town, south-central Khanh Hoa Province, about 45 kilometers from Nha Trang’s center. Covering ​​about 400 hectares, it is considered one of the largest salt fields in Vietnam.A busy day of salt workers here begins at dawn and ends amid the glorious sunset.

From early morning, seawater is pumped into the fields. Under the scorching sun, farmers gather the salt into small mounds to dry. At sunset, they collect the salt for processing.

The salt harvest lasts from around April to July with the emergence of hot winds and high UV counts.
